But when they were asked if they would consider using their parents as guarantors to buy their first homes, 59.7% said no. In Victoria, the number was nearly 65%. WA millennials had the second highest “score” with 62.9 saying they would not use their parents as guarantors.

Another interesting statistic: 80% said they would rather buy an established home than a new home. That means they would buy without getting any help from the government, either.
